Designed to wear in over time, the A.P.C. New Standard Jeans in indigo are made from raw Japanese selvedge denim which at first has a very stiff finish, but will soften and mould to your unique wear pattern. Five pockets can be found across the front and back, belt loops have been added around the waistband and silver rivets have been inserted at selected stress points. The fly has a button fastening and is complete with an engraved ‘A.P.C. rue Madame près du Luxembourg’ silver button. Cut to a mid-rise with a straight leg, these jeans are unisex and available in a range of sizes.
Raw denim is a key material amongst A.P.C.’s extensive design history. Founded in 1987, the first pair of jeans were created in 1989 after founder Jean Touitou was in need of a pair himself and didn’t want to buy into popular lighter wash styles of the time. A selection of suggested ‘washing recipes’ using sand and Woolite allow you to create a custom finish that focuses on maintaining the denims distinctive character.
